Bibliography a

Decker has grown from a scientific community and therefore supports scientific content creation. Add a bibliography file (.bib) to decker by using the meta option bibliography and a “Citation Style Language” file (.csl) by using the csl option.

YAML Values

Defining a CSL is optional, Decker defaults to 'chicago-author-date.csl'.

bibliography: bibliography.bib
csl: acm-sig-proceedings.csl

References List

The bibliography will be automatically appended to the end of your presentation when the last slide includes only an empty header:

# References

However, you can include the bibliography on an arbitrary slide with the {#refs} cue:

::: {#refs}
:::

Citations

Include citations in your text in two different manners. Citations appearing at the end of sentences should appear in square brackets, while citations in mid-sentence appear without brackets.

Syntax

Users move more and at higher velocities, creating strokes faster when creating
sketches that express personal ideas [@monty2024].

According to @monty2025, color-to-depth and opacity cues support users to create and
perceive freehand, 3D strokes in room-scale sketching.

Result

Users move more and at higher velocities, creating strokes faster when creating sketches that express personal ideas (Monty, Kern, und Latoschik 2024).

According to Monty, Mevißen, und Latoschik (2025), color-to-depth and opacity cues support users to create and perceive freehand, 3D strokes in room-scale sketching.
